NOTHING THAT EVER WAS CHANGES

“Nothing that ever was changes” is a search for lost and repressed places of queer urban culture and for the people and pioneers who brought them to life and accompanied them. Protagonists of the past and present who have shaped the lives and political situation of LGBTIQ*+ communities and shaped the queer historiography of the city have their say.

Seven audio images tell of forgotten spaces of possibility and places of longing – of places of queer identification and care, of protest, resistance and equality:
From the first German Aidshilfe, to the archives of the FFBIZ and in poison-green drag to the Deutsche Oper; from wild nights at Lipstick, to the Klappe am Preußenpark, to the women-only bookstore Lilith and to the Berlin Tuntenball at the ICC.
